First Generation Warner B Aylsworth started Aylsworth House Moving in 1864. Eventually his son Charlie joined him. Equipment used during that time was loose maple rollers and planks.
Second Generation Charles Aylsworth moved buildings using old threshing machine wheels for moving dollies and railroad timbers for his moving timbers. In 1944 he bought heavy duty moving wheels and started moving bigger buildings. His son Bert joined him.
Third Generation Bert Aylsworth took over the business from his dad in the early 1950’s. Bert eventually started using steel beams and hydraulic jacks which became available in 1967. Bert’s three sons became movers with him.
Fourth Generation Gene, Doug, and David Aylsworth bought the moving business from Bert in 1979. Gene’s son Ron joined in the business.
Fifth Generation Ron Aylsworth bought his father’s share of the business in 2003. Doug, David and Ron now run the business.
