Family owned and operated for six generations.

Aylsworth house moving was started in 1882.  Warner B. Aylsworth saw a need for housing in the town of Fayette, IA.

Warner taught the trade to his son Charles, who after a few years of homesteading in Canada, decided to move back to Iowa and move houses. Some of his equipment included, screw jacks, loose maple rollers and a mule & capstan.

In 1952, Bert Aylsworth bought out his father and started moving.  He soon improved the business with steel beams, hydraulic jacks, and rubber tired dollies.  Bert ran the business for 27 years until selling to his 3 sons in 1979.

Gene, Doug, and Dave ran the company from 1979 until 2003 when Ron bought out his dad becoming the fifth generation of house movers.

After becoming sole owner in 2013, Ron kept up the tradition and his son Austin joined the team, making him the sixth generation of house moving experts. A tradition of 133 years and growing.
